What to Expect From Singapore Ka-Soh x Tanglin Cookhouse Menu?

The Ultimate Heritage Mashup: Ka Soh and Tanglin Cookhouse Join Forces for a Limited-Time Pop-Up in Singapore

Singapore’s food scene thrives on nostalgia, and a legendary culinary icon is making a highly anticipated comeback. From July 15 to August 31, 2026, the historic Cantonese zi char brand Ka-Soh is rising from its brick-and-mortar hiatus to partner with Tanglin Cookhouse.

As part of the exclusive Tanglin Heritage Series, this limited-time pop-up brings Ka-Soh’s most beloved, award-winning flavors straight to your table at both Tanglin Mall and Paya Lebar Quarter (PLQ) locations.  If you have been longing for that unmistakable, comforting milky fish soup since Ka-Soh closed its final Greenwood Avenue outlet in late 2025, your patience has finally paid off.

The Return of Two Iconic Ka-Soh Restaurant Masterpieces

This historic collaboration focuses on perfection over complexity, resurrecting Ka Soh two most famous, crowd-pleasing heritage recipes with a premium, modern execution.

1. Ka-Soh Signature Fish Noodle Soup ($18++)

The undisputed star of the show is Ka-Soh restaurant Cantonese-style fish noodle soup. True to the 1939 original recipe. The signature milky white color is achieved completely naturally relying entirely on hours of high-heat boiling to extract rich fish collagen, calcium, and protein without a single drop of actual dairy.

For this premium cookhouse crossover, third-generation owner Cedric Tang spent months fine-tuning the recipe alongside the Tanglin Cookhouse team. The traditional snakehead fish has been upgraded to pristine, firm slices of premium grouper, served over thick bee hoon and sweet baby chye sim. The broth is deep, intensely savory, and carries hints of Bentong ginger, white peppercorn, and Shaoxing wine.

2. Ka-Soh Prawn Paste Chicken Mid Wings ($15++ for 8 pieces)

You cannot have a Ka-Soh meal without their legendary har cheong gai (prawn paste chicken). These mid wings are deeply marinated in an aromatic, umami-packed prawn paste before being fried to an audibly loud, golden crunch while keeping the meat perfectly succulent inside. They come paired with Ka-Soh's signature tangy, citrus-infused chili sauce, which cuts through the rich, savory oils beautifully.

Better Together: The Tanglin Heritage Set Menu for Two ($58++)

For the ultimate dining experience, Tanglin Cookhouse has curated a special three-course Heritage Set Menu. Priced at just $58++ (representing a massive saving on the usual a la carte value), it offers a flawless East-meets-West culinary journey perfect for couples or friends sharing a meal.

The curated set menu includes:

  • 1 Shared Appetizer: A full plate of Ka-Soh Prawn Paste Chicken Mid Wings (8pcs) with signature chili sauce.

  • 2 Main Courses: One large, comforting bowl of the Ka-Soh Signature Fish Noodle Soup to share, plus your choice of a classic Tanglin Cookhouse main. You can select from celebrated local-Western fusion items like Tiger Prawn Spicy Aglio Olio, Indian Butter Chicken, or rich Tomato Beef Bolognese.

  • 2 Desserts: Round off the rich meal with a choice of nostalgic desserts, including the refreshing Heritage Gula Melaka Sago Pudding or a silky, traditional Warm Yam "Orh Nee".

Bring the Legendary Flavors Home ($12++)

If you want to stock up on comfort food for rainy days, you can actually bring the heritage home.

Cedric Tang continues to handcraft small, meticulous batches of Ka-Soh's Signature Frozen Fish Soup packs (400g). Each batch takes over 10 hours of boiling, cooling, and vacuum-sealing to perfect.

These frozen packs are available exclusively for in-store takeaway during the pop-up period for just $12++ per pack, while stocks last.

More Than Heritage Brand: The Tanglin Cookhouse Experience

While you are visiting for the Ka-Soh favorites, you can fully soak in Tanglin Cookhouse casual family style café restaurant charm. Known for its timeless British-Singaporean menus, it is the perfect backdrop to celebrate the rich culinary history of the region.

Whether you opt for the bustling, modern vibes of the Paya Lebar Quarter (PLQ) branch or the relaxed, old-world elegance of the Tanglin Mall location, it is bound to be a dining experience packed with flavor and nostalgia.
